Tai Chi Dulwich

Hello, my name is Teffany Osborne; an Instructor of Yang style Tai Chi.

Tai Chi is an exciting, sometimes challenging, and very rewarding discipline.

The beginner’s class taught at St.Faith’s is the health form. It is a comfortable, relaxed and very enjoyable form of exercise.

I began to study Tai Chi in 1997, principally because of a back problem Tai Chi is recommended by the back pain association.  For me it has been immensely valuable for that fact alone. The other physical benefits of Tai Chi are well documented and readily identified.  The Tai Chi movements themselves help to improve balance.  The Chi circulation and Qi Gong breathing help to improve blood pressure and are both valuable tools to help reduce stress.

The benefits to the mind, although perhaps less defined, are none the less tangible.  They are an essential element of Tai Chi and, I think, a major reason for it having survived and developed so effectively as it has.  Tai Chi is often described as a moving meditation.
